Florida (Tampa and Miami) Joing the MCFFU; Help Strengthen 9-Man
MCFFU World Championships - 19 October 2007
The MCFFU is proud to announce the partnering of the Tampa Bay and Miami 9-Man and Screen leagues with MCFFU and the Flag Football World Championship Circuit. Both Tampa and Miami will host tournaments beginning in 2008 for styles beginning with youth up to 9-Man. The Florida project will be headed by Andre Bankston (Head Semi-Pro Football, High School and Youth Football referee), Tony Cole Jr.; Director of the Tampa Metro Competitor Sports (TMCS) Flag Football League and Jey Jones of the MCFFU.
The goal is to cultivate the state of Florida with a WC State Tournament supported by a series of tournaments throughout Florida and provide a strong representation from Florida in the World Championships. Florida will join California, Georgia and Utah in developing a MCFFU State system, which will be applied to all participating states of the MCFFU and WC in 2008.
The Tampa and Miami 9-Man will help support the growing number of 9-Man leagues in the Southern Regions (including Alabama, Texas, Georgia and North Carolina) and the 9-Man style overall. (Other 9-Man national leagues working with the MCFFU included Reno (NV), Seattle (WA), Anchorage (AK) and Northern California. |
